Information generated on HIV/AIDS - reports, studies, surveys - by NGOs, government departments and international organisations often doesn't reach the media, or indeed, even other organisations working on the same issues. We hope this section will be a one-stop resource centre for new findings on HIV/AIDS and Gender-related issues.

Information on campaigns and organisations working on HIV/AIDS is also listed. If you would like to share information with us, we would welcome hearing from you. Reports / Books

This section puts together books and reports that study the gendered face of the HIV/AIDS pandemic - the economic, social or sexual vulnerability of women. We hope that these documents will further the prevailing understanding of the pandemic in India and further the academic resources available on the subject.

Surveys / Studies

This section provides a collection of recent studies and surveys conducted by various organisations across the country on the gender dimensions of HIV/AIDS. Many are from organisations that may not have a website; some of the studies are not available electronically and have been collected by WFS through direct contact from places all over India. These documents contain a wealth of data, painstakingly collected through field-based research, some extending over many years.
